For me, restraining reality is where the manipulation begins. Reality is square one of an alternatively inspired truth-a singularly visual statement.
My blend of technological training and 28 years as a professional photographer gives me the mechanics and the spirit to create images with meaning and substance.
An intimate understanding of photography's traditional aesthetics provides the basis to nudge and prod and create beyond those traditions. I create visual and conceptual twists of reality that are humorous, ironic, sad, unexpected and the full range of human experiences.
